OMET tissue-converting RED Line increases production and efficiency

by Matthew Callahan

OMET has introduced RED Line, an innovative tissue-converting machine designed to increase the production capacity and efficiency of the entire converting process. Thanks to a new servo-controlled cutting unit, specifically developed by OMET in order to reduce waste and time, this machine doubles the usual production, reaching up to 10.000 napkins per minute.

The folding units of the new RED Line are characterised by their double height, being in fact higher than the traditional ones. The stacks of product, after exiting the folding heads, pass through the servo-controlled cutting blade, where they are cut again: this is how the production of the final product is doubled.

The high-productivity converting machines combine full digital controls, ease of use and high printing capabilities. They promote time and waste savings and reliable non-stop operation and are equipped with innovative energy-saving systems. The lines recycle the energy of the braking motors and carry out continuous monitoring of energy absorption.

Independent motors are also a great advantage in terms of energy saving as they increase the efficiency of the kinematic chains, while the elimination of the vacuum helps to make the machine even greener, reducing energy consumption and optimising the entire transformation process.
