Böttcher establishes a Corrugated Competence Centre

by Matthew Callahan

In the manufacturing process of many items of everyday life, Böttcher products are involved from the production of the base materials (be it steel coils, aluminium foil, plastic films or paper or carton) through rolling, cleaning, coating and laminating and often printing, packaging and transporting the goods to their destination.

Corrugated board is one such material. During the pandemic, the volume of online commerce increased dramatically. This created greater demand for corrugated board as protective packaging for shipping the products bought online to the customers. Böttcher has addressed this development by establishing a Corrugated Competence Centre, from where a global team of sales and service specialists is trained to support the manufacturers of corrugated board and make recommendations as to how Böttcher rollers and other first-class products can help improve productivity and quality.
