Customers expect connectivity across all their hardware and software systems, but the IT environment where they operate is challenging and unforgiving. Hybrid Software operates at the nexus of prepress production and cutting-edge IT: The IT experts who know prepress, and the prepress experts who know IT.
Specialising in the packaging and labelling sectors, HYBRID Software announced several major new products and technologies that were demonstrated on its drupa stand.
MyPACKZ is a SaaS-based PDF job editor and layout tool for any printing process, digital or conventional, derived from Hybrid Software’s very successful PACKZ software. With more than 5,000 copies sold, PACKZ provides a full set of packaging prepress tools from preflight to step & repeat and trapping.
The PDF job editor and layout tool offers the same powerful functionality as PACKZ, but with the added convenience of being online. This is a game-changer for MyCLOUDFLOW customers, as it allows their files to stay in the cloud at all times, even during editing. This means no more back-and-forth between applications, making their workflow smoother and more efficient, and relieving them of the previous workflow challenges.
“This will give more leverage to sharing with other customers and suppliers,” observed Brenton King, Sales Manager Australasia, HYBRID Software. “Artwork manipulation or content changes can be done on the fly instead of waiting to go back to the original application.” The program will be released to the market later this year, and being cloud-based, it will be open to everyone.
All demos on the HYBRID stand were run using MyCLOUDFLOW operating in a dedicated Amazon Web Services (AWS) cluster. The No-IT solution offers quick access to CLOUDFLOW through a private and secure environment for each customer with strong data protection and immutable backups. Like any SaaS solution, there is no hardware purchase, and easy scalability without requiring local IT support.
The MyCLOUDFLOW user base has been steadily growing, a testament to the power of SaaS and the benefits it brings to print providers. This highly configurable enterprise production workflow system has automated prepress tasks for over 1,000 customers worldwide, demonstrating its reliability and effectiveness and instilling confidence in its capabilities.
The month before drupa, HYBRID Software launched version 9.5 of the iC3D Suite, its innovative packaging design and visualisation software. On the menu: a number of significant improvements to streamline the workflow of packaging professionals and graphic designers. In particular, the new version introduces extended support for additional 3D file formats (GLTF, GLB, FBX) and major improvements to the internal PDF editor.
“As the only label and packaging-specific 3D rendering solution on the market, the iC3D Suite allows users to create virtual products rather than visual mock-ups, although visuals and renders can be generated for QA control or e-commerce solutions,” Brenton King elaborated.
“We also have the ability in our MyCLOUDFLOW product to do 3D renders within the web page. You can physically share those via a mobile device via a webpage, and people can see what it will look like.”
