Exhibiting for the first time at drupa was Hanglory Group (Shenzen Hanway) represented in Australia by Kissel+Wolf. Managing Director Jamie Weller and Bruce Caldwell, Sales Manager for Australia and New Zealand, were on hand to welcome ANZ visitors to the highly informative stand where a range of unique products was demonstrated.
“As a company, Kissel+Wolf is enormously pleased to be representing a company such as Hanglory, and the very many unique products that they have on show here,” observed Jamie Weller. “They’ve invested quite heavily and I think it is definitely one of the best stands at the show. They’ve created a great environment, and they’ve also made it not only comfortable but very informative. There’s an enormous amount of information and technical knowledge on the stand.”
Brand new, single-pass technologies included the Single Pass Hanglory 1605 digital inkjet press for corrugated board, which features food-safe, environmentally friendly, water-based inks and runs at up to 150 m/min with high precision and 1200 dpi quality. Also demonstrated was the HTA 2500 Robo large format 2.5 x 2.5 metre hybrid UV inkjet machine perfectly suited for the sign and display market. This press is ideal for rigid and flexible materials up to a max of 50 mm thickness and is able to run at speeds of up to 208 m²/h in production mode.
“It features fully automatic loading and unloading capabilities, so you can basically leave it to run itself 24/7, almost with no one watching it, which is ideal for customers who want to go to the next step of productivity,” Bruce Caldwell enthused.
K&W handles complete sales, service, spare parts and consumables for the Hanglory group, as well as colour management and other business services. It has really ramped up services, and also can help customers with ESKO workflows in ANZ.
The pair were also on the Highcon stand at drupa where the Beam 3 digital die-cutting solution was the real feature. The Beam 3 features three high-speed lasers and can convert the printed sheet – corrugated or carton board – into boxes at high speeds of up to 3000 sph, which is 50% faster compared with its predecessor, the Beam 2 system.
“It is ideal for short run, quick turnaround work with 5-10 minute job changeovers. It features offline ‘crease writing’ where the mechanical crease is digitally printed for precision post-print processing,” Bruce Caldwell added.
K&W has signed an MOU with Highcon to work together and explore opportunities in ANZ, with a view to full distributorship, so look for more to come on Highcon from K&W in the near future.
