The ORAFOL Group achieved record sales of €883 million in fiscal year 2024, surpassing the previous year’s figure of €867 million.
The international manufacturer of innovative, self-adhesive graphic films, industrial adhesive tapes, and retroreflective solutions currently operates with headquarters in Oranienburg (Germany), 17 subsidiaries at 30 locations and 2,900 employees worldwide, including around 100 specialists in seven business divisions worldwide working on the development of products for future industries.
Chairman and CEO Dr. Holger Loclair noted: “We act according to the motto of replacing exports with our own production in the various economic zones of the world. That’s why we started a few years ago to reduce the dependence of our six plants in the USA on the headquarters here in Germany. In the meantime, they are completely independent. In this respect, trade barriers do not affect us directly. I’m aiming for the same for the Asian market.”
Five ORAFOL sites in Australia comprise its headquarters in Sydney, which has the full range of Graphics, Reflective and Adhesive Tape products, and distribution centres in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, form the foundation for the expansion of its Asia Pacific presence. The recent establishment of ORAFOL New Zealand represents a milestone in the further development of ORAFOL in the APAC economic region.
For its size, ORAFOL still retains the DNA of a family company. “This gives us the freedom to live our values: we make quick, bold decisions, drive innovation independently, and measure ourselves by personal service and reliability – even as a now global group,” Dr. Loclair added.
The internationalisation of the ORAFOL Group traditionally aims to strengthen the depth of value creation and thus to secure the long-term independence of the globally active family business.
2025 marks an anniversary year for the company which will celebrate the 35th anniversary of ORAFOL as well as the 30th anniversary of the first foundation stone being laid at its headquarters.
Additional expansion projects are planned for the current fiscal year. At its headquarters, ORAFOL is investing €60 million in the ongoing investment cycle, which will continue through 2027.
