This year’s National Print Awards (NPAs) will have two new major awards. The Emerging Talent Award, sponsored by Konica Minolta, celebrates the next generation of print professionals, while the Women in Industry Award, sponsored by Ricoh Australia, represents a significant step in supporting the growth, visibility, and advancement of women across the industry.
Designed to shine a spotlight on the brightest up-and-coming talent across Australia’s print, paper, sign, display, publishing, packaging and media sectors, the Emerging Talent Award will not only recognise technical excellence and creative vision but also underscore the essential role emerging professionals play in shaping the industry’s future.
Open to apprentices, trainees, and early-career professionals, the Emerging Talent Award will be judged across excellence, innovation and leadership. Entrants will be evaluated by a Judging panel and the Visual Media Association Board of Directors.
The Women in Industry Award represents a significant step in supporting the growth, visibility and advancement of women across the industry. It is open to women across a variety of roles within the industry, including apprentices, sales leaders, estimators, production specialists and business owners. It aims to highlight the contributions and talents of female professionals who are pivotal within the print and visual media sector.
Both Award winners will receive a once-in-a-lifetime industry experience to London featuring:
- A return trip to London in November
- Attendance to the Power of Print Conference
- A tour of the Ricoh UK Experience Centre, showcasing cutting-edge print technology and innovation,
- Industry engagement and introductions with leading organisations, including Two Sides International Country Managers meeting, BPIF (British Printing Industries Federation), World Land Trust and other key industry bodies, and
- A tour of the UK print industry, connecting with leading professionals, and gaining insights into the future of the print and visual media industry as well as the opportunity to build an international network.
The winners will be announced at the VMA National Print Awards Gala Dinner in Sydney in May.
