Dr. Dietmar Woidke (Minister-President of the State of Brandenburg) recently visited the ORAFOL Group’s headquarters in Oranienburg and met with ORAFOL Chairman & CEO Dr. Holger Loclair to discuss the company’s current investment cycle (2025-2027) and the progress of the Hall 14 project, which is entering the construction phase as planned, having received the necessary building permit at the beginning of January 2026.
The focus of the discussion was ORAFOL’s investment of a total of €150 million in Brandenburg, which ORAFOL will invest at its headquarters in Oranienburg between 2025 and 2027. The new production area Hall 14 will create a future-oriented production facility with highly automated and digitised manufacturing technologies ‘Made in Germany’.
Minister-President Woidke emphasised: “ORAFOL is a prime example of the success of our economy. With its investments, it contributes to securing jobs, creating added value and sustainably strengthening Brandenburg’s industrial base. As the state government, we stand firmly by the side of industry – together we can achieve great things.”
Dr. Holger Loclair, Chairman & CEO of ORAFOL, explained: “We at ORAFOL don’t need any funding. We have the resources and the ideas to grow sustainably on our own – here in Oranienburg and worldwide. What we need at the interface with Brandenburg state politics is the assurance that we are all looking in the same direction. And that is currently the case.”
The visit underscored the importance of political reliability, especially in economically challenging times. Companies that invest despite rising costs and global uncertainties need clear framework conditions, planning security and efficient processes. With its investments, ORAFOL is sending a strong signal for growth, industrial innovation and the Brandenburg region.
With the construction of Hall 14 and the extensive investments in automation and digitalisation, ORAFOL is making a long-term commitment to its home location in Oranienburg and at the same time strengthening Brandenburg’s position as an industrial and technological state.
