David Currie, founder and chair of Currie Group, was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award the 2026 National Print Awards held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Brisbane.
As the former majority shareholder of Currie Group, David has been a respected member of the printing industry since 1969, having joined the print engineering business started by his father 20 years previously. Over the ensuing years, his foresight has spearheaded the expansion of the Currie Group to a leading supplier of print, packaging, finishing and digital solutions in the ANZ market.
David has been instrumental in shaping the company, building strong, long-term relationships with both customers and partners. Currie Group has consistently been one of the best performing distributors for HP globally. Earlier this year Currie Group New Zealand was awarded the 2026 HP APJ Service Excellence Award, recognising exceptional performance in service delivery, customer experience and technical excellence across the HP Indigo customer base.
He will continue his association with Currie Group as a Member of the newly formed board of Currie Group following the sale of the business to Aldus Group.
