Triple treat as SCREEN wins three Awards

by Matthew Callahan

SCREEN has recently received two EDP (European Digital Press Association) Awards – one for the recently introduced Truepress JET 560HDX, a reel-fed inkjet press that can print on standard offset stock, and one for the Truepress PAC 830F flexible packaging inkjet machine. The latter uses sustainable water-based inks and sports an 830 mm wide web for normal flexible packaging materials such as PP and PET.

The Truepress JET 560HDX took out the EDP Award 2026 in the Commercial Printing category Best Web-fed Printer-LED-Toner-Inkjet-Hybrid <550mm web width, while the Truepress PAC 830F was named as Best Flexible Packaging-Digital/Hybrid in the Packaging Printing category.

The EDP Awards, organised annually by the European Digital Press Association and judged by independent experts from Europe’s 20 leading trade magazines, are widely regarded as the most rigorous and prestigious technical accolade in the digital printing industry.

Entries are evaluated across seven criteria: innovation relevance, usability, productivity, quality and durability, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), sustainability and environmental impact, and price and overall value making an EDP Award one of the most credible validations a press manufacturer can receive.

In another acknowledgement of SCREEN’s inkjet press quality, the US-based Printing United organisation bestowed ‘Certified Digital Press System’ on the high-speed Truepress JET 560HDX web machine. This prestigious certification validates that the 560HDX produces print reproduction, density stability and colour accuracy comparable to traditional commercial offset printing.
