Add an extra dimension with AccurioShine 3600

Konica Minolta recently demonstrated the power of the AccurioShine 3600 at its Macquarie Park Sydney showroom to printers eager to enhance their business competitiveness.

Built on the success of the MGI JetVarnish 3D One, the AccurioShine 3600 has been added to Konica Minolta’s expanding portfolio under its own branding. The collaboration resulted in improvements to the already proven technology, which led to further enhancement in stability, reliability and serviceability.

The fully digital solution features artificial intelligence (AI) registration technology and an eco-friendly LED curing system, incorporating innovative varnish technology by MGI, all in an impressively compact size. In addition, the AccurioShine 3600’s ground-breaking technology enables 2D and 3D gloss effects as well as spot UV varnishing and digital hot foiling from prototyping to full production at a reasonable cost without the need for screens, plates or dies.

The versatile machine supports a large range of media sheet sizes up to a maximum of 750 mm. It is equipped with Variable Data Printing (VDP) to add more impact to tickets, personalised packages and labels and one-to-one marketing collateral, among other high-visual print products.

The AccurioShine 3600 barcode scanner can read barcodes from a pre-printed sheet and instantly select the corresponding TIFF file already stored on the workstation. Used in combination with the VDP barcode scanner with an automatic PDF file converter, the workflow is fast-tracked by transforming files from PDF to the output tray in minutes.

The AccurioShine 3600 will be demonstrated on Konica Minolta’s stand at drupa. It will appeal to printers in the short-run packaging sector or who are looking to enter the space with a product that can also deliver additional value across a multitude of other applications requiring embellishment.

“The AccurioShine 3600 provides Australian printers with a range of high-impact finishing effects to offer customers while delivering high-quality outputs,” noted Andy Cocker, Konica Minolta General Manager of Production and Industrial Print. “The feedback from the customers we have spoken to has been very positive and we expect sales in Australia and New Zealand in the future.”
