Gulmen Digital was proudly flying the Australian-made banner at APPEX with three of its displayed products designed and manufactured at the company’s Melbourne factory – the Handy core cutter, GD LFE label foil enhancer and LAB320 sheet plotter cutter.
The manual Handy core cutter is easy to install and operate. It is designed to accurately cut cores from 76 mm, 38 mm, 25.4 mm and 2.5 mm up to 8 mm wall thicknesses with the same tight tolerances as larger, fully automatic machines. Gulmen can also manufacture machines to accommodate individual customer requirements.
The GD LFE label foil enhancer is a smart investment for businesses aiming for the pinnacle of precision, versatility and elegance. “Its ability to handle materials from paper to light cardboard makes it perfect for creating detailed designs on eye-catching labels and stickers ensuring every print and stamp is crisp and clear, especially with gold, silver and other foil finishes,” noted Eddie Gulmen, proprietor of Gulmen Digital.
The LAB320 sheet plotter cutter combines cutting-edge plotter and cutter capabilities for precise, high-quality finishing of labels, stickers and any printing graphics on paper, coated paper, stickers, Kraft paper, PVC and PET. Vacuum adsorption feed eliminates static for special papers. It is a versatile solution for precise cutting needs with high-power servo motor control, digital camera positioning and professional software to enhance performance.
With its double knife head design, this machine excels in die-cutting and indentation. The 7-inch touch interface offers seamless operation, while the double-pole design supports various cutting modes, and automatic camera calibration ensures accuracy.

Also demonstrated on the stand was the OKI 1050/1040 label printer which combines LED and dry toner technology with long-lasting performance.
