Durst Group, manufacturer of advanced digital printing and production technologies, has won a European Digital Press Association (EDP) award for layout, design and editing with its Smart Editor software. Announced at drupa, the EDP Technical Committee’s citation said Durst’s cloud-based application enables customers to “get exactly what they want”.
Durst Smart Editor is a cloud-based solution that allows the design of personalised print products directly in the customer’s web-to-print solution. Easily connected via plug-in and API, it allows users to get exactly what they want with real-time product personalisation and realistic previews, receiving the orders as print-ready files.

The EDP Association awards cover best-in-class innovation in digital printing, publishing, and packaging. Established in 2006, it is a not-for-profit association dedicated to promoting leading digital innovation through its own major industry awards.
