IVE Group and MCC Labels win NPA Packaging and Labels sections

On Thursday, 22 May, the Australian print industry gathered to celebrate the revitalised 2025 National Print Awards (NPAs) Gala Night, hosted in Sydney by the Visual Media Association (VMA). The evening was a resounding success with just over 400 printing industry colleagues united to recognise the craftsmanship, innovation and execution of commercial print, digital print, packaging and visual media.

This year’s theme, ‘Celebrate + Elevate’, was cheered with applause that greeted each of the more than 30 award recipients presented across the Commercial Print, Digital Print, Packaging + Labels, Sales + Marketing,  Creative Services + Prepress categories and the Major Awards. Guests from across the country came together to create a positive atmosphere alive with congratulations, and a shared respect for all nominees and winners from the crowd.

IVE Group scored in the Packaging Category with the New World Whisky Distillery Starwood Panettone Christmas Box. 12,500 boxes were produced on Ares GC1 Whiteback Board 255 gsm / 415 um FSC Certified supplied by Ball & Doggett.  The boards were Duplex mounted to 510 gsm / 830 um.

Runners up were Spicers ‘Cake Packaging – Allyking Cream’ printed by Spicers; The Perth Mint ‘Zodiac Silver Coin Shipper’ printed by Scott Print; ‘Shoku Iku Packaging’ printed by Bambra; and ‘Acta Skin – Sun Repair Cartons’ printed by Platypus Print Packaging.

Winner of the Labels Category was MCC Labels for its wine label ‘Libation Front and Back Set. 10,000 labels were produced on Spicers Manter Cotone Bianco. Runners up were A.G Oatley Wines ‘Annais Organic’ also printed by MCC Labels; C & M Liquor ‘Blush & Bloom’ printed by QLM Labelmakers; ‘Bowden Brewing Collab with Illuminate Adelaide’ printed by Openbook Howden Print & Design; and ‘Butt Naked Bath Soak Range’ printed by Fantastick Label Company.
