Jet Technologies, one of Australia’s leading film distributors, has officially rebranded its range of recycled-content films under the new name: Terra Films.
Known for its innovative range of specialty laminating films – such as Soft Touch, Rough Touch, Durophan Anti-Scuff, and SteriLam antimicrobial – Jet Technologies continues to lead the way in providing sustainable packaging solutions for brand owners across Australia and New Zealand.
With increasing demand for more sustainable packaging and a need to comply with APCO regulations around recycled content, Jet Technologies has developed a film solution that offers 30% recycled content across nearly all its standard film varieties. The Terra Films range includes both PIR (post-industrial recycled) and PCR (post-consumer recycled) options, and is available with ISCC+ certification or other international sustainability certifications, depending on the region of manufacture.
“More than just meeting market expectations, our aim was to genuinely make a difference – not just tick a box,” said Kane Mangan, Product Manager for Films at Jet Technologies.
Previous efforts in the market, such as PLA-based films, fell short in real-world applications. They required industrial composting facilities – largely unavailable in Australia and New Zealand – and often frustrated printers with poor ink adhesion and brittle finishes. “There were limitations,” Mangan noted. “Printers struggled with ink adhesion, and matte versions weren’t even an option.”
The Terra Films range, by contrast, delivers no compromise in appearance, performance or price. The recycled-content films look, feel and run just like their non-recycled counterparts. “Our clients are switching to Terra Films and the operators aren’t even noticing the difference. Printers are happy and brand owners are happy,” Mangan added.
Now stocked across all Jet Technologies locations, Terra Films offer a practical, sustainable solution that supports the industry’s shift towards circular packaging without sacrificing quality or efficiency.
