PDQ Labels achieves full certification from HACCP Australia

by Matthew Callahan

PDQ Labels & Printing has received full certification from HACCP Australia’s Food Safety Certification Programme which encompasses receiving of raw materials, storage, printing, slitting, cutting, packing and dispatch of labels for food packaging.

“This certification demonstrates our commitment to producing food-safe labels that meet the highest standards of hygiene and quality – perfect for use in food processing, packaging and handling environments. Being HACCP certified means our labels have been rigorously assessed and are recognised as safe for use in food-related applications,” explained Paul Bentham, Managing Director and Owner of PDQ Labels.

“It’s another step forward in our mission to deliver trusted, reliable and compliant label solutions to our valued customers. A big thank you to our hardworking team and supportive clients who continue to trust PDQ Labels! “

Based in Braemar in the NSW Southern Highlands, PDQ Label specialises in producing high-quality labels and flexible packaging using state-of-the-art digital and flexographic printing technologies. They pride themselves on providing clients with exceptional service and delivering their products Australia-wide.

The company offers both flexographic and digital printing options, the former on a six-colour Edale F3 installed in 2020, while a SCREEN L350UV inkjet press was added last year. This digital machine now performs 90% of printing jobs at the plant including labels for various applications such as food and beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and more.

“The L350UV system allows us to print two weeks’ worth of labelling in just one to two days, when compared with traditional printing methods. The system also caters to much larger volumes of product, with the added flexibility to digitally adjust or alter label designs, branding or ingredients immediately at the time of processing.

“Having digital and flexographic printing technologies enables us to print on a range of materials such as paper, film and foil, in both small and large quantities,” stated Paul Bentham.
