Nekkorb Solutions has appointed Sam Kay to the new role of Technical Sales Specialist. Sam entered the printing industry as a casual worker, initially unsure if this path was for him. However, as he delved into the technical intricacies of running printing machines and tackling their troubleshooting challenges, his curiosity blossomed into a genuine passion. His enthusiasm for the craft propelled him to enrol in a reel feed flexographic apprenticeship, culminating in becoming a fully qualified tradesman by 2014.
Since then, Sam has gained extensive experience across a spectrum of printing technologies – including label, finishing, lamination, UV-flexo, gravure, solvent-based laminating and digital printing – along with traditional embellishing units for labels and packaging.
Sam attributes much of his growth to the knowledgeable mentors who equipped him with vital skills and confidence, ultimately guiding him into supervisory roles. His own hands-on approach – carrying out machine maintenance and troubleshooting – has become a tremendous asset, enabling him to engage effectively on equipment support and after-sales service issues.
With over 15 years of practical experience in labels and packaging printing, Sam now brings his seasoned expertise to his new role at Nekkorb Solutions. His deep understanding of printing processes, coupled with his genuine enthusiasm, makes him an asset to the Nekkorb team and its clients.
