Something for everyone on the Trimatt stand

by Matthew Callahan

Trimatt packed its APPEX stand with an extensive range of solutions, including the popular Trimatt ColourStar AQ, new large-format ColourStar AQ BoxPro, desktop ColourStar Lite and FoldLine 9000 folding system.

The new, industrial ColourStar AQ BoxPro took centre stage, introducing the benefits of the company’s proven ColourStar print technology to larger applications with 891mm print width.

“This single-pass, CMYK box printing system is our latest pride and joy,” said Trimatt’s Owner, Matt Johnson. “It allows clients to bring their printing in-house, with multiple size configurations to suit everything from pizza boxes to shipping cartons, and with its advanced automation and long-edge feed, it’s highly productive and profitable.”

The popular and versatile Trimatt ColourStar AQ, which recently won the Australian Manufacturer Machinery Award – SME in the 2024 APPMA Awards, demonstrated its ability to customise a range of sustainable packaging, from valved coffee bags, to folding boxes, lunch trays, paper bags and serviettes on demand, while the desktop ColourStar Lite provided an entry-level option for short-run production of smaller applications, all with the ease of use and quality results synonymous with the ColourStar range.

The printers were complemented by a Trimatt FoldLine 9000 fold line configured for feeding, folding and gluing sleeves and packs, which was sold off the stand.

“The FoldLine is ideal for a range of FMCG, financial, retail, fulfilment, mailing and similar applications,” Matt says, “and it’s not only compact at just 5m in length, but precise and enormously productive, with a top speed of 18,000 packs per hour.”

Add labelling, coding and inkjet solutions for VDP, numbering and barcoding, inspection and quality control systems, and a range of automation options, and there really was ‘something for everyone’.

“All print and finishing solutions are designed and built in Australia, and are completely customisable to suit individual client requirements,” Matt adds.
