A significant milestone was reached with the signing of an exclusive supply agreement between TomKat Global Solutions, Thai Sekisui Foam and Sekisui Foam Australia (Sekisui Pilon) at the official residence of the Australian Ambassador to Thailand.

KoolPak, developed by TomKat Global Solutions, is a reusable and recyclable packaging system designed to replace single-use polystyrene packaging in the cold chain. The patented liner utilises advanced foam materials supplied exclusively by Sekisui. This partnership combines Sekisui’s global expertise with TomKat’s design innovation to deliver a high performance, low-carbon alternative for cold chain packaging worldwide.

The signing took place during Australia’s second Green Economy business mission to Thailand, which was anchored around Sustainability Expo 2025, ASEAN’s largest sustainability show.

This agreement reinforces more than six years of close collaboration. It highlights a shared vision of replacing single-use polystyrene with reusable, recyclable, and low-carbon alternatives, underscoring the growing importance of sustainable trade and manufacturing partnerships in Southeast Asia.

“This partnership is transformative. It confirms our long-term commitment and shared belief in sustainable innovation,” said Tom Long, Co-Founder of TomKat Global Solutions. “Sekisui’s commitment ensures that we can deliver high-performance, sustainable packaging at scale for global cold chains.

On behalf of TomKat Global Solutions, Tom and Kath Long sincerely thanked Phil Cocking, Managing Director of Sekisui Foam Australia (Sekisui Pilon), and Takanobu Sugiyama, Managing Director of Thai Sekisui Foam. “Their unwavering confidence and ongoing support have been vital in helping us pursue our goals in sustainable packaging. Their investment represents more than just financial commitment – it reflects shared values of innovation, sustainability and mutual respect between our organisations.”

“We are thrilled to be signing this exclusive supply agreement with TomKat Global Solutions,” said Phil Cocking, Managing Director of Sekisui Foam Australia. “It is a testament to the hard work of Tom and his team to have brought this concept to a commercially ready solution. KoolPak is a pioneering solution that combines smart technology with a commitment to the circular economy, ensuring both environmental and economic benefits. Importantly, the project aligns with Sekisui’s goal of creating innovation for the Earth.”

The signing of this agreement demonstrates the growing two-way trade and investment links between Thailand and Australia. It highlights shared ambitions for sustainable trade, technology transfer and advanced manufacturing. Southeast Asia is emerging as a global economic powerhouse, and Australia’s commitment to climate-smart innovation and regional partnerships is supporting the region’s long-term growth.

Dr Angela Macdonald PSM, Australian Ambassador to Thailand hosted the signing event in Bangkok. “The TomKat-Sekisui partnership is a practical and innovative example of cross-country collaboration to meet our shared carbon reduction and sustainability goals,” she said. “Reducing waste and building greener economies is key to creating a future which benefits trade and our planet.”

“Our mission is simple: remove polystyrene from the global cold chain,” said Kath Long, Co-Founder of TomKat Global Solutions. “This agreement accelerates our ability to deliver carbon-neutral packaging to the agri-food industry, supermarkets, seafood industry, pharmaceuticals and more.”

The signing occurs as TomKat Global embarks on its Series A capital raise, driven by TomKat’s global climate goals, strong intellectual property portfolio, and expanding pipeline of logistics and food industry partnerships, and reaffirms the company’s long-term goal to expand operations in Thailand.

This agreement marks a milestone for the green economy. It positions TomKat and Sekisui to meet the rapidly growing global demand in the cold chain packaging market – valued at USD 27.4 billion in 2023 and expanding at +10% per annum.
