Following a recent visit to the Lemorau headquarters in Porto – where he met with CFO and Sales Manager Susana Teixeira – Sean Keogh, Director, UMS Australasia, has announced his company’s appointment as the official Australia and New Zealand distributor for the Portuguese manufacturer.
“This collaboration brings Lemorau’s 39 years of label converting and finishing expertise to our region for the first time – delivering a dedicated local presence with faster access, service and support, training and business development for label converters across Australia and New Zealand,” Sean enthused. “It marks the next stage in UMS Australasia’s ongoing commitment to supporting our label converter customers with world-class, reliable solutions tailored to their needs.”

Lemorau products have already found favour in the Asia Pacific region. One satisfied customer purchaser is Cello Paper, which invested in a customised automatic core cutter, CTA 2000. The length of the cutter was changed from standard 1500 mm to fit 2000 mm cores. It was further equipped with the optional thickness pack to meet the company’s requirements.
Executive Director Harry Michael said: “We chose the CTA core cutter because it is a cost-effective solution to efficiently cut cores in our production area. This machine is also simple and fast to set up and use.”
At Labelexpo Americas Lemorau will be exhibiting the Smart-L compact, high-performance finishing machine designed for digital printing, featuring semi-rotary and rotary die-cutting, intelligent software for fast set -up and a short web path to minimise waste. This versatile, user-friendly machine includes advanced features like a linerless lamination station, tension control and optional upgrades such as a flexo station for coating or printing.
