by Matthew Callahan

The industry has been shocked and saddened to hear that Frank Brokken, managing director of Nekkorb Solutions, passed away suddenly but peacefully on Boxing Day in Auckland.

Frank, a printer by trade, served more than 45 years in the industry including time at DuPont, Morrison Printing Inks (now Flint Inks) and in various positions at leading NZ packaging companies. His extensive knowledge of pre-press, printing of most types and converting placed him in a great position to start the trans-Tasman business, Nekkorb Solutions, in 2009 with his wife Claire.

The company now represents a portfolio of global blue-chip suppliers in Australia and New Zealand including 3M, AVT, Bar Graphic Machinery, Dantex, DuPont, Esko, Geitz, KTIE, ligum, MPS, OXO Pipe, TKM, Troika Systems, Spectral UV, Wink, X-Rite and Zecher, offering its customers solutions that enhance the entire manufacturing process.

Nekkorb Solutions will continue to build on the values and principles Frank established, honouring his legacy while moving forward with confidence. The business will be led by his daughter, Tash, Commercial Manager, supported by Sam Kay in Sales – Technical and Jade Hargreaves in Administration & Sales Support, with trust, integrity and long-term relationships remaining at the heart of everything the company does.

A tribute will be published in the February issue of Labels Plus.
