Women in Print Breakfast expands to Canberra

by Matthew Callahan

Women in Print will include Canberra in its annual Breakfast Series this year. With this addition, Women in Print now extends its reach to almost every state and territory in Australia, furthering its commitment to fostering professional development and empowerment for women across the industry.

The Women in Print Breakfast Series has become a cornerstone event for networking, education and empowerment within the print community. This year, the series will feature Christina Bruce, Founder and CEO of Sellabilities, as the keynote speaker. She will delve into the theme of ‘The B❒X’ where participants are led through a process of self-exploration of their thinking, and then create their own model for that new thinking that enables new possibilities and results.

Christina Bruce brings over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, making her a prominent figure in the industry. Her passion for professional development and dedication to enhancing the seller-buyer relationship align perfectly with Women in Print’s mission to empower women in the print sector.

The Women in Print Breakfast Series will take place across Australia in seven capital cities starting on April 30 and conclude on May 8. The Canberra meeting will take place on May 7, running at the same time as the Sydney event.

The expansion into Canberra marks a significant milestone for Women in Print, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to inclusivity and nationwide support for women professionals in the print industry. With a team of volunteers from Instant Colour Press in Belconnen, ACT, Women in Print Chair, Stephanie Gaddin, will open the event, which will live-stream the Keynote from Sydney. Following the breakfast, Stephanie Gaddin and Victorian Patron, Rita Karagiannis, will assist the Canberra volunteers in forming an ACT committee and will receive the formal application for an ACT Patron.

“I am privileged to support all women in our industry and drive the expansion of Women in Print in Canberra,” remarked Stephanie Gaddin, Honorary Chair of Women in Print. “We look forward to meeting Canberran talent at the breakfast next month, and I am excited to work alongside our community to foster personal and career growth and inclusivity across multiple spheres.”

The Women in Print Breakfast Series continues to be a not-for-profit initiative, supported by generous sponsors and partners who share the organisation’s vision of empowering women in the print sector. Cactus Imaging has confirmed the continuation of its sponsorship, taking up a Women in Print Ally Sponsorship.

“As Women in Print expands its footprint to encompass Canberra, I am deeply appreciative of the enduring support from our industry allies. The collaborative efforts of our partners contribute significantly to the advancement of women professionals in the print sector. We extend a warm invitation to all in the broader community to join us at the Breakfast Series, where together, we can forge stronger connections, share insights, and champion inclusivity within our industry,” commented Stephanie.

Tickets are selling fast across the country as companies snap up tables and groups of tickets; tickets for all cities are available at https://bit.ly/WiPBrekkie24.

Sponsorship opportunities for the 2024 series are still available, with sponsorship closing at the end of April.
