Women in Print Australia is expanding its footprint in Tasmania with two casual Friday afternoon networking events set for winter 2025. These informal gatherings are designed to provide a relaxed space for women in the print, signage and related industries to connect, unwind and share experiences and support their peers.
The first event will be held in Hobart on Thursday, 20 June at The Deck, Crowne Plaza Hobart, with tickets now available at womeninprint.com.au/network. A second event will follow in Launceston on Friday, 11 July, with the venue to be confirmed. Both events are priced at an affordable $35 per person.
“These relaxed events are about building genuine connections within our local communities,” said Rita Karagiannis, Deputy Chair and Women in Print VIC/TAS Patron. “We know how valuable it is to have informal opportunities for support, encouragement and idea-sharing. Tasmania’s print industry is strong, and we’re thrilled to offer more ways for women to come together.”
In feedback for previous events across the country, attendees often note the relaxed nature of Women in Print get-togethers, saying ‘everyone seems willing to talk to each other … and] there’s also no rush to leave to get to work!”
Both events are proudly brought to the Tasmanian community wth the support of Women in Print Australia Ally Sponsors Durst Oceania and Ricoh Australia, with Print Partner Mercury Walch supporting the Hobart event. Women in Print thanks these generous partners for their ongoing support of community-driven events.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for Community Sponsors to support the events with in-kind or cash sponsorships. Businesses interested in partnering with Women in Print to foster local engagement are encouraged to reach out via hello@womeninprint.com.au.
These events are part of Women in Print’s ongoing mission to create inclusive, meaningful spaces for women across the print industry – from production floors and creative studios to executive offices.
