AVT (Advanced Vision Technology), a global leader in print inspection solutions, has confirmed the appointment of Mark Nixon in the role of Global Sales Account Development.
Based in London, UK, Mark has an extensive, decades-long career in the print industry and a long history of working closely with customers to deliver specialist solutions across a range of sectors. He joins AVT from Scodix, where he spent more than a decade – most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
“We pride ourselves on the fact that our salespeople are experts in the print industry that provide consultancy to our customers,” said Roy Porat, CEO of AVT. “Mark’s insight and experience are a great fit for AVT, and we’re delighted to have him on board in this key position, where he will listen, advise and tailor the best inspection solution for a customer’s needs.
“We continue to consolidate our leading position in print inspection and colour measurement solutions and are now looking to successfully penetrate new markets,” he added. “This new appointment underlines our commitment to ensuring we empower the global AVT sales team to realise our goal of helping customers maximise their efficiency, profitability, and trust in AVT as a long-term partner.”
In his new role, Mark will help develop global strategic flexo accounts that require 100% print inspection and advanced colour measurement technology to ensure accuracy and consistency across their facilities.
“I’m thrilled to be joining AVT at such an exciting point in its journey,” said Mark. “This is a terrific opportunity to work with a talented team at a well-established, respected brand and a trusted company that has made clear its strong ambitions for growth.
“I strongly relate to its customer-first strategy, underlined by the recent move to a new pricing model which is helping customers by making ongoing maintenance and support more accessible and affordable.”
Mark is just the latest in a double-digit raft of appointments since AVT became a standalone business under new ownership in 2025, following Co-Owner Roy Porat becoming the new CEO, and Dror Danai joining as AVT President, EMEA & APAC.
With a renewed direction and vision, AVT is reaffirming its role as a trusted leader for print professionals across the globe,” said Roy Porat. “We are proudly committed to delivering 100% defect detection, reliable ROI-focused solutions, and state-of-the-art AI inspection technologies coupled with customer service that is unrivalled.
“With Mark’s appointment, we are looking to the future while building on our rich 30-year heritage, fully dedicated to driving innovation and excellence in print inspection technology.”
AVT has been at the vanguard of print inspection advancements since it was founded in 1992, helping printers worldwide achieve unparalleled quality and efficiency through automated systems that deliver complete quality control at the highest production speeds.
